What is the OIE?
The Observatorio de Innovación en el Empleo(OIE) is a private-sector initiative established in 2014 with the common goal of improving the current situation of the Spanish labour market.
Promoted by Adecco, the OIE is currently made up of 25 companies: Acciona, Adecco, Agbar, Amadeus, Banco Sabadell, Bankinter, BMW, Capgemini, Coca-Cola, Delaviuda Confectionery Group, EY (formerly Ernst & Young), Gas Natural Fenosa, Grupo Pascual, IKEA, LG, Línea Directa Aseguradora, L’Oréal, Mahou San Miguel, McDonald’s, Pelayo, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Red Eléctrica de España, Sephora, SEUR and Xerox.
The OIE was conceived not as a platform for discussion, but, rather, for the implementation of strategic actions designed to deal with the main challenges of the Spanish labour market. Its aim is to be the driving force of change focusing on specific areas on interest.
For its first initiative, it analysed one of the main concerns of our society: youth unemployment. With the goal of providing tangible solutions, human resources directors from the 25 member companies met to share examples of best practices and design new formulas capable of enabling change and highlighting the talents of our young people.
