There is no doubt that education plays a fundamental role in human progress and, as such, is a major focus of the development plans of countries. Aware of this, the World Economic Forum has published Education and Skills 2.0: New Targets and Innovative Approaches. This book analyses the latest thinking on the importance of education and highlights what can be done to ensure that everyone in the world can benefit from it.
Education and Skills 2.0: New Targets and Innovative Approaches examines existing ideas, perspectives and frameworks in education through analyses and case studies. An added value of this book is its description of innovative and compelling solutions that will improve access to quality education, improve workers’ skills and increase equity, e.g., in terms of income level and gender. In addition, the book highlights the importance of education and training for access to the labour market and the need to facilitate the transition from school to the workplace.
According to the report, achieving these goals requires the examination of all of an individual’s educational experiences, from pre-primary education, to postgraduate training, to worker education and training for improving qualifications and skills.
Education and Skills 2.0: New Targets and Innovative Approaches also includes an up-to-date compilation of qualitative and quantitative data on education from different countries including Spain.
